JulNoWriMo Update and Stuff
My life has been pretty awesome. I now work in our service deli at Albertsons. I also went to VidCon!!!! That was pretty freakin' awesome if I do say so myself. Once I finish moving, I shall upload pictures and videos and shenanigans.
Which brings me to another awesome thing! Byron, I, and two other friends officially have an apartment secured and will be moving in in about a week or so. We're waiting for them to finish up cleaning from the last people that lived there. And I've realized, through packing, that I have a lot of books. So on to other things.
Right now, I'm mainly focusing on JulNoWriMo. I fell behind pretty badly about a week ago and am now feeling those consequences. I am only about 5k behind now. I'm hoping to get entirely caught up if not more by the time I have work at 5pm tonight. That might not actually happen, but it's a possibility if I keep writing as much as I have been so far.
I'm working on two novels this year as I usually do and this year it's particularly complicated and confusing because both novels focus on the same main character, but one takes place 8 years after the other one.
I've been doing a lot of Write or Die recently in about 20 minute stints - which is apparently how long it takes me to write 1,000 words. If only I could do that for school work. But school work has to be good and with real information and not just stuff made up in my head. Crazy, right? I've also been listening to a lot of classic rock on Pandora and watching The Universe. So that's a thing.
And yeah. I'm also trying to convince a certain boyfriend to start a blog with his thought's because it'd be pretty interesting considering all the thoughts that run through his mind. Very interesting stuff. And funny a lot of the times. Anyways, I'm going back to writing now.

Is this thing still on?
So, you know that whole post once a week thing I was planning? Well that didn't work out to well if you hadn't noticed. I'm going to try and pick that back up. I've been busy though.
Since I last posted I've started some major planning on my JulNoWriMo novel for the year, started a new term, written a couple essays, gotten a gym membership, gone to way too many movies, and read a couple books.
First off, I read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I haven't read the second and third in the series, so don't spoil it for me. I've also seen the movie 5 times I think? All with different people and I've only had to pay for myself one of those five times. The thing I've been telling everyone about the movie is that the emotions are real. The short clip of Katniss, Peeta, and Effie all in the car when Peeta is crying is ridiculously realistic. So are all the other crying scenes. Also, Katniss's face when she's cleaning out the burn wound is crazy emotional too. I still won't watch that part.
I believe I saw The Lorax twice as well. I recommend them both. They're great.
I've also gotten a fair bit of headway on my JulNoWriMo novel. Once again, I'm hoping to actually finish a novel. Which may or may not happen. It's called Three Stars, and is basically a prequel to Rising Sun. It's more of an adult novel than previous novels I've worked on. I'm going to have to tackle at least two sex scenes and it's going to be interesting. Not quite sure how that's going to go.
The thing I'm most excited about though is the fact that I got a gym membership! I am really excited to get in shape. I've gone once and I've literally been jumping up and down in excitement to go again. Sadly, I'm busy with lots of other things and can't go all the time. I'll let you know how that's going.
Blogger.com has gotten a new layout since I've been gone, so I'm going to go back and figure that out. There's a button that says schedule and I'm really interested in what that's going to do.

Happy New Year!
So, I've been a little reclusive lately and this year I've made a resolution not to.
This year I am really going to try to make a post in my blog once a week, I figured I might want to make one before the week is up. And no whatever posts about whatever. I'm talking book and movie reviews or actual thoughtful things.
This year I really want to improve my writing skill and maybe just get a bunch of short stories done. I don't really have that all planned out yet. Hopefully a novel finished also, but lord knows how many times I've said that.
I've been going through and editing old HPFF stories as well. I really wish there was a way to change my username, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. I'll just have to work hard to build my reputation. Let's just say my 8th grade self was not very creative and very reminiscent of "Annoying Facebook Girl" a few of you may have seen in memes.
I've got quite a few New Years' resolutions this year. Some of them being:
- Read 12 books I haven't previously read
- Win JulNoWriMo 2012
- Be able to run a mile
- Get better at rock climbing
What are some of your New Years resolutions??
Also, I shall be taking part an awesome adventure with Byron in June in honor of my 18th birthday and I am beyond excited. I will be going to VidCon 2012!!! Now, as Byron is not quite as well versed in YouTube and such nerdy things, I'm training him as I go. He's getting a lot better.
School also starts on Monday and I'm taking 18 credits. It should be an interesting term. One of my classes is Zumba fitness, so it should be very fun.
Other than that, not much has been happening. Holidays have been busy and I've been working a lot. (Pay day tomorrow!)
So I'm going to get back to editing before I have work.
Until next week!

Pulling Things Together
Time for a few updates:
I won JulNoWriMo with about an hour to spare. I didn't reach my goal of finishing my novel, but for once, I haven't actually stopped writing because JulNo is over. I'm proudly still working on writing.
I've got some extra big super awesome news as well! What have I always wanted? Besides money... I got a car! A 1996 Mazda Miata. See the lovely picture? Beautiful isn't she? Her name is Lenore as of a few days ago. I got her on August 2nd for 3 grand. There aren't any major problems with it. And I have a lot of stuff I want to modify on it. I'm crazy way too excited.
Learning stick is still kind of scary. I've yet to go on the freeway and everything. The only thing I'm really scared of is going from standing still to first gear. I know it's the problem that everyone has but I'll get better and get over it and everything.
So, I finally got my pictures from the cruise on my computer. They're on Facebook if you can check them out on here. I'll start posting the best of the bestest pictures on here going through all the days. It will most likely take me a while, but I'm getting closer!

JulNoWriMo Update
I'm at 41k as of now. And I've had a lovely bunch of novel plots come in my way this entire month.
Well, not a whole bunch, but a few.
Once I finish Rising Sun, a prequel will be on the way called Three Stars.
3S is honestly probably a whole lot better than RS. I may even turn 3S into a trilogy, I'm not sure though. RS might become a trilogy as well. I'm not sure how many times I'll have to write that novel before I'm happy with it. A long time though. I'm considering re-outlining the entire thing and making it longer and more in depth.
The other novel and sequel are stories that were originally separate ideas and turned out to be related. The first one, I started a couple years ago, but didn't do anything with it because I didn't outline really. That one's called Not Guilty. The second I wanted to write four or five years ago, but never started it, called Chasing Reality.
I don't have a good summary for any of this, but I'd love to tell you about them some time.
After JulNo, I think I'm going to have a goal to write 500 words a day for the year. That might just start at the start of the New Year, I'm not sure. I'll definitely want to do that, though. Get a bunch written in the next year. Instead of only in July.
Anyways, that's all for now. I'll come back later at some point! :D

The End of an Adventure
For the next few days I will be talking about my European adventure. Basically taking each day at a time. However, my camera is currently at Byron's house, so as I procrastinate, I can't post pictures or anything. So I shall leave you now.
I do have my first JulNo vlog up on the JulNo youtube page. And I've started a progress report on the website as well. So go check those out if you like, and I'll be back tomorrow!

Introducing...
It may or may not actually be "of the day" exactly, but it sounds better that day. And maybe it will get more people interested so they can see more quotes. Yeah.
Updates on Life:
JulNo outlining is going peachy and wonderful surprisingly. :) I'll continue to update the "10,000 Word Novel Outline" page as I add more to my own outline.
And I've been re-addicted to Sims 3 and I'm attempting to do the Legacy Challenge. It's insane. I LOVE IT! :P
And Stefaniya went home today. :( She will be missed so much here!

Today. Is My Birthday.
Yeah. That's right.
So, my day is going to go like this (as decided by someone else):
Get up at 6am so I can go to school like a good kid. Even though class doesn't start until 11. It's the only way I'll get there.
Leave school at 5. Two hours after my class gets out, because once again - it's the only way I'll be getting home.
That's 10 hours. At school. On my birthday. That's twice the hours of when I'm actually supposed to be in class!
So, I'm all "I am not going to allow myself to play Civilization until I get to 4k on my outline."
Now I have decided that that is total BS.
It's my motherf**king birthday and I am gong to play Civilization.
That's right.
Imma rebel. (<--See that? You know what that is? BAD GRAMMAR! YEAH!)
Note: This mood may or may not have to do with the extra shot of coffee I had this morning. I'm not sure.

IHAVESOMUCHTODO!!!
That. Up there. It's my brain right now. Freaking out. Because of all the things I have to do.
I don't know how I let this happen. Maybe it's not my fault that I always end up having to do everything at short periods of time. Chances are though, it is.
Maybe what happens is I get all motivated subconsciously and figure out all these things I have to do, then consciously I freak out because of all these things.
Who knows. The real issue is I have a whole lot of things to do in a very short time span.
Right now, here are the things I have to do within the next week:
- Upload 3 pinstriping things
- Make avatars for people
- Get a 6 page paper rewritten for tomorrow
- Clean my room because it's too messy for me to think
- Do laundry
- Do math homework
- Get a whole lot outlined on my story for JulNo (at least another 2k within 2 or 3 days)
- Have a birthday
- Start packing for the cruise
- Have a goodbye party for the exchange student
- Write thank you notes for the birthday
- Not ignore boyfriend because I'm busy doing other things (which definitely won't happen because I tend to ignore everything for spending time with him :P)
- Go through bookshelf
- Put lots of stuff on Amazon.com
- Ship stuff that's been ordered on Amazon.com
- Sleep.
- Eat.
- Not die.
Oh, and not die in all my other classes. And that's not including job research and studying and talking to other people and working. At my job. Where I get paid to do stuff. That I'll get fired from if I don't do. Yeah.
YAY! STUFF TO DO!
Note: I am actually not avoiding doing other things right now. I'm in math class. So I do not have the ability to do the things I need to do on my list. So it's okay.

The Road to "The 10,000 Word Novel Outline"
That number may change as I finish the outline and all the things I want to do. See how much I want to go in depth of the novel before I actually write it.
So far, these are the things I have written or will have written when I finish. I'm sure that this will change dramatically as I continually plan for this novel. I actually have no idea if this outline will even reach 10,000 words. It might. It depends on how many characters and places that the novel will include. I should probably come up with a different name for it, but for now:
Character:
- 1 sentence description (must be 20 words or less) and motivation for every character ever mentioned
- physical description for every character mentioned
- names for every character
- paragraph descriptions for characters that affect the plot
- list (and organize by city in my case) every place that shows up in plot (I wrote scene list first...)
- 1 sentence description of setting (20 words or less)
- 5 senses list for each setting
List every scene that will happen in the novel:
- side notes of what is happening in other parts of the world if important to know
- characters involved in each scene
- place the scene takes place
- 1 sentence description of the scene (still 20 words or less)
- notes of quotes, descriptions, etc. that should be included in the scene
- divide into chapters if you want

What is This Planning You Speak Of??
But, I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. The fact that I know what's going to happen is almost building my anticipation to write the novel.
As far as outlining and everything goes, I'm combining lots of different techniques I've been taught over the years as well as adding my own ideas. It's really fun to see how it all fits together. And actually taking time to get to know my characters before starting to write about them.
I took a few days to free write and figure out what's going to happen and got it all down on paper. And figure out who the characters are piece by piece.
I know this is a bit of a short post, but I'll discuss how I plan more later on. I'm just heading back to writing now. It calls to me.

JulNoWriMo Manifesto
All the skill and time it will take to win. I will win. And along with that I will also finish the novel. My first. Novel. Ever.
The first novel I will ever have completed. By outlining. By planning. By following in Tina's footsteps. I will both win JulNoWriMo 2011 and finish my first novel ever in my entire life. Accomplishment.
Manifesto taken from the guidline: A Sentence by Sentence Guide to Writing a Manifesto
This is my proclamation that I will finish a novel. I have someone (whoever you 6-readers-a-day are) to hold me accountable. Hopefully as it gets closer to July, there will be a few more people to hold me accountable. But until then, I'm off to plan.
Script Frenzy: 12 pages, 11 pages behind.
